Title: Valve tappet clearance Post by: RalphA on February 09, 2020, 07:04:58 PM Hi Everyone, just wondering if anyone had any handbook data on the intake and exhaust tappet settings? There were some threads on scanning the workshop manual but looks like that hasnt happened yet si i would really appreciate some of the basics.

I have emailed you crude scans of the tappet pages and the general specifications. There's a "Point 17" following the tappets page, setting the breaker point gap. If this is crucial info for you I'll scan that as well. Note these are scans from a bound copy, not as good splitting it, but the info and images seem clear. I'll check with Lindsay on how to approach larger attachments and more easily post images. By the way, it'd be useful if you could post the model details and engine/body number of your car if this isn't a problem for you. Richard |
